Senior Mechanical Project Engineers

Following is Tri-Tech's basic criteria for a senior mechanical project engineer (consultant). Included in this criteria is the first tier requirements (must haves) and second tier requirements (added value).

The position in consideration will be that of a Project Engineer. Tri-Tech is looking for a promotable person whether the candidate has 4 years experience or 15 years. He/she will be introduced to clients initially but will ultimately be responsible for generating their own work selling to plant engineers, building owners, and architects. This person must be comfortable dressing up in a suit and working directly with a client one day, while working on the project in jeans the next day with Tri-Tech personnel or the client's facility workforce. The successful candidate must be the type of person who is comfortable working for the client on a project, as well as having the confidence to ask the same client for the next project.

In order to be considered for this position here is a list of first tier qualifications (must haves) that are required of the candidate:

1) They must have hands on HVAC design experience that includes selection of equipment, fieldwork (investigation of facilities), drawing specifications and load calculations.

2) This person must be able to think on their feet and be confidant with who they are. This includes presenting themselves in front of clients and being able to manage and interact with their Tri-Tech team.

3) This person must be a professionally registered engineer in the state of Ohio or have reciprocity eligibility. Or they must be an EIT ready and willing to take the P.E. test in an agreed amount of time.

4) This person must be highly fluent in speaking, reading and writing in the English language; including technological terminology, specification development, and correspondence with clients and co-workers.

The second tier of qualifications is as follows:

1) An individual who understands the construction trades. In other words, someone that is familiar with the coordination of the architectural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and other trades during the construction process.

2) Someone who has had formal sales training and experience.
